New Building Brings New Opportunities

Unique partnership born out of desire to serve coaches and athletes

FCA Arapahoe County Staff meet at HitStreak for weekly staff meetings

FCA's new partnership with HitStreak, a baseball and softball training facility in Centennial, started with a simple idea.

As the business prepared to move into a new facility in early 2023, owner Scott Vatter saw the mezzanine space above the batting cages and thought it would be a great meeting place for coaches.

He'd been involved in an FCA Bible study that met at a restaurant. He'd heard of other groups meeting in similar spaces.

“I always felt like there should be a dedicated place for groups to meet, and there wasn’t,” he says.

Earlier this year, FCA started using the mezzanine space for staff meetings. Coach and student huddles also meet there.

Plans are underway to raise funds to close off and remodel the mezzanine. The project is expected to cost $15,000.

Eventually Vatter said he would like to see FCA build baseball and softball teams out of HitStreak, coached by individuals trained in FCA's 360 Coach program, with a vision to honor Christ in sports. This fits into FCA’s vision to help coaches and athletes in club and league sports grow spiritually.

Join us in praying for this new facility and partnership. We are excited about the opportunities!
